Description

On the single-track platform of Haslau station, passengers make themselves comfortable in the covered waiting bunk and enjoy the view of the Danube region from there. The station is located on the route of Vienna's S7 rapid transit line and also offers the opportunity to buy tickets around the clock at the ticket vending machine installed on site.

Danube Cycle Path

Haslau station is located along the Danube Cycle Path and in the middle of the Donau-Auen National Park route. The journey begins in the spa town of Deutsch-Altenburg, not far away, and continues via Petronell and Stopfenreuth through the atmospheric areas of the Roman region. Numerous viewing and power spots mark the paths through the nature-loving landscapes.

Experience history

With the ferry landing stage in Haslau there is the possibility to cross over to the other bank of the Danube river and visit the ship mill Orth an der Donau. With the 20-metre-long Tschaike, a replica of a Danube ship, the impressive atmosphere can be captured in a very special way.
