A mill was built in the middle of the Retz oak forest in the 17th century. Following renovation work in 2016, the Hauser family now runs the Hölzelmühle, a small distillery that produces creative and classic brandies as well as fruit wines such as cider, apple juice and apricot nectar.
The Salettl was converted into a Buschenschank (typical tavern), while the press house and the laundry room now serve as a farm store. This is open during our opening hours or additionally on request.
The peaceful surroundings ensure that you can enjoy the freshly bought produce in a relaxed atmosphere.
Various events are organized at the Hölzelmühle throughout the year.
