Description

Himberg bei Wien station is located on the eastern edge of the market town of the same name in the Vienna Basin of the Lower Austrian district of Bruck an der Leitha. The large reception building offers equipped sanitary facilities as well as waiting rooms and an installed ticket machine in the underpass.

Almost 100 cars and mopeds can be accommodated in the attached Bike & Ride Station, thus contributing to a considerable comfort factor. 45 parking spaces for bicycles are provided in the Bike & Ride facility.

Route information

The Himberg bei Wien stop is located along the Ostbahn line.

  • Regional express trains to the main station in Vienna, Götzendorf an der Leitha and Hegyeshalom are served here.
  • Trains of the S60 express line stop here on their way to Bruck an der Leitha and Vienna as well as to the main station to Wr. Neustadt.
  • Connections to Schwechat and St. Pölten can be reached at the local bus stop.

The municipality of Himberg, only a few kilometres from the bustling life of the city of Vienna, offers not only a well-developed infrastructure but also numerous excursion tips that make a visit worthwhile.

If you go for a walk from Himberg station, you will find cosy inns with regional cuisine as well as the parish church of the village, which is well worth seeing. After a short hike, you can reach the delightful Himberg forest swimming pool, where a dip in the cool water is an absolute must.
