Hofbrauerei Braustall
Farm shops / producer, RegionalladenDescription
Hofbrauerei Schrattenbruck, also known as Braustall, is a fascinating example of a courageous entrepreneurial story. Georg Schwameis, the founder, turned his hobby into a profession and transformed the old barn into a modern brewery after almost two years of renovation. The resounding name "Braustall - Hofbrauerei Schrattenbruck" reflects the transformation1.
Various types of beer are produced in this charming brewery, including
Classic Hofbier: a traditional beer that honors the roots of the region.
Wheat Beer: A refreshing wheat beer with fruity notes.
Pale Ale: A hoppy beer for lovers of strong flavors.
Stout: A dark, malty beer with roasted aromas.
The malting barley for these beers comes from our own production, while ingredients such as yeast and hops are bought in. One special beer that 35-year-old Georg Schwameis currently has in the pipeline is the "Melker Stadtbier "2. From a former pig farm to a flourishing brewery - that is truly an impressive transformation!
