Landwirtschaftliche Fachschule Hollabrunn

The Hollabrunn Agricultural College is known for its teaching and research facilities for viticulture and cellar management. With locations in Hollabrunn and Retz, intensive research is carried out here in the areas of viticulture and cellar management. The Landesweingut Retz, which has a vineyard area of 12 hectares, is managed conventionally in accordance with the applicable ÖPUL guidelines. In contrast, the Hollabrunn provincial winery, which has a vineyard area of 5.5 hectares, is certified organic. This gives the trainees the opportunity to get to know both systems with their respective advantages and disadvantages. The Landesweingut Retz is home to a microvinification facility where around 100 different small-scale trials are carried out each year. The Landesweingut Hollabrunn has a modern analysis and consulting laboratory, which is used for practical lessons. These facilities make the Hollabrunn Agricultural College an impressive destination for wine lovers and those who want to become one.
