Christoph Stöffelbauer, alias "MOSTbee your beekeeper", manages 15 bee colonies at 4 locations in and around St. Peter in der Au.

Since 2012, our bee colonies have been flying through the Mostviertel region from spring to late fall, pollinating flowers and trees and collecting honey, pollen and propolis.

We have been a certified organic farm since the beginning of 2018. This means that our farm is subject to strict controls and we are only allowed to use organic sugar from Austria for feeding. Species-appropriate keeping in wooden hives goes without saying and the treatment of bee parasites is only permitted with organic substances. We also leave our bees some of their honey as winter food. We are convinced of this way of working and generally see the future of sustainable agriculture in organic farming.
Beekeeping also has a lot to do with our attitude to life. For us, a bee colony is one of the most fascinating wonders that nature has created: Communication, coordination, thinking of the big picture, unity for the well-being of the colony.
You can experience this and much more in perfection with bees.

We offer guided tours, workshops and lectures and are delighted to be able to tell interested people more about bees, their way of life and their environment.
Our bee colonies are also used for pollination in vegetable and fruit cultivation.
