Mühling-Plaika station

Train station

Description

The small waiting house at Mühling-Plaika station, nestled amidst greenery, offers guests of the Erlauftalbahn train shelter from wind and weather. It is located in the middle of the village of Mühling in Lower Austria's Mostviertel region.

Route information

The Mühling-Plaika stop is located along the route of the Erlauftalbahn, a branch line of the Austrian Westbahn.

  • Regional trains along the route to St. Pölten and Pöchlarn are served here.
  • Trains also stop on their way to Scheibbs.
  • A bus stop with connections to Wieselburg is just a few minutes' walk from the station.

Nature in the Erlauftal

A variety of paths can be taken from Mühling-Plaika station to explore the nature-loving areas in the Erlauftal region.

The Türkensturzweg trail is a thoroughly rewarding circular tour. Although the start is a little further south - in Purgstall - taking up the path of the family-friendly route in Mühling-Plaika does not change the lovely sights that the hiking route has in store on its way to the Hochriess and the Schlierwand.
