Herzogenburg Abbey

The stately Herzogenburg Abbey is just a 10-minute walk from Herzogenburg Wielandsthal train station and offers numerous events for families and history buffs throughout the year. A guided tour of the magnificent church is both possible and highly recommended and can be wonderfully combined with a visit to the monastery store during the summer months.

A walk steeped in history

To mark the 90th anniversary of the town of Herzogenburg, a walking route was created as part of a public participation project. Paths planted with fruit trees and shrubs were created especially for this purpose and accompany visitors along the cultural landscape throughout the year. The Herzogenburg Wielandsthal stop is the starting point and refreshment point for this historic walk.
