Description

"STADTLICHTSPIELE RETZ"

The cinema in Retz was founded in 1911 by Leopold Harzhauser, it is the oldest in Lower Austria and has been in continuous operation to this day. Investments have always been made in state-of-the-art technology to offer audiences true cinematic enjoyment. In 2013, the theater switched from analog film projection technology to a digital projector. The existing digital sound system was also upgraded to DOLBY DIGITAL SURROUND EX 7.1!

It is exciting to know that the STADTLICHTSPIELE RETZ cinema is one of the few cinemas in Austria that can show 3D films in HFR (abbreviation of Higher Frame Rate). HFR 3D productions with 48 fps record the images twice as fast and reproduce them twice as fast as the conventional rate.

From now on, all films will be shown in top quality, with sound and images in Dolby digital Cinema, Dolby 7.1, DOLBY 3D and now also HFR. This means that cineastes in Retz currently have the most modern digital sound and projection system at their disposal!

The FilmClubRetz at the Stadtlichtspiele Retz cinema presents high-quality films outside the mainstream.

Tickets can be reserved by telephone or e-mail.
