Schwerbach train station

Along the lower valley line of the Mariazellerbahn is the on-demand stop at Schwerbach station. The cosy waiting hut on the platform in the middle of the countryside offers a sheltered place to wait as well as a control element to inform the next coming train of your wish to stop.

• If required, trains stop along the Mariazellerbahn to St. Pölten, as well as to Laubenbachmühle and on to Mariazell.

Poldlwarte

Not far from the station, but with a short steep climb, is the visit to the Poldlwarte. After enjoying the path, which leads through the picturesque landscapes of the so-called castle area, and the final adventurous path up to the lookout at 580 meters above sea level, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the Dirndl Valley.
