Spielplatz Stift Göttweig

The playground at Göttweig Abbey offers plenty of exercise for older children. There is a flying fox, a high tower for climbing including a pole to slide down, ropes and wooden pegs for balancing. The view is of course also worth mentioning. WC facilities are available in the grounds of the monastery. A fire pit by the playground can be used by prior arrangement. The playground excursion can be combined with a visit to the monastery. The museum can be visited for an extra charge. Tip: One free entry with the Lower Austria Card.

The area around the monastery is perfect for exploring. Many hiking trails lead up to the abbey and around it. The abbey restaurant is a great place to stop for refreshments or, in summer, for an ice cream.
