Description

Staatz station is located in the market town of the same name in the district of Mistelbach. A ticket machine for ticket sales has been installed in the glazed waiting area and rail passengers are kept up to date with the latest timetables and loudspeaker announcements.

Over 118 parking spaces for cars and mopeds have been set up at the spacious Park & Ride station to make it easy to change to the train. The Bike & Ride Station has space for almost 30 bicycles.

Route connections

  • Regional and regional express trains run along the Laaer Ostbahn line to Laa an der Thaya and Vienna Liesing.
  • There are also trains on the Vienna S7 rapid transit line to Vienna International Airport and Laa an der Thaya,
  • as well as trains on the Vienna S2 rapid transit line to Mödling and Vienna Liesing.
  • Bus connections to Wildendürnbach, Ottenthal bei Drasenhofen and Laa an der Thaya are located directly at Staatz railroad station.

Staatz castle ruins

The impressive ruins of Staatz Castle can be seen from afar and are just over half an hour's walk from the station. The ruins can be visited free of charge, while guided tours of the ruins provide lots of interesting facts about the imposing castle complex.

At the foot of the Staatz cliff, below the Staatz castle ruins, is the Staatz rock stage, which is one of the largest open-air venues with seating for 1,200 people. With the fascinating rocky backdrop, a visit to the stage complex as part of the varied musical program is an unforgettable experience.
