Station Atzenbrugg

Train station

Description

Atzenbrugg station is located on the northeastern edge of the market town of the same name in the Tulln district of Lower Austria. A glazed waiting berth at the single-track station offers travellers protection from wind and weather and, thanks to the ticket vending machine set up on site, also the opportunity to buy tickets conveniently and around the clock. Some parking spaces are provided for cars and mopeds, and the Bike & Ride Station has room for just under 20 bicycles.

Route information

Along the route of the Tullnerfelder Bahn is the stop Atzenbrugg.

  • Here trains of the rapid transit line S40 to Kritzendorf and further to Vienna to the Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof are served.
  • Trains to St. Pölten to the main station are served.

Atzenbrugg Castle

Just a quarter of an hour's walk from the station, visitors reach Atzenbrugg Castle. The impressive walls tell stories that reach far back into the Middle Ages and today house the Schubert Museum, which can be visited at the times available at the municipal office without prior appointment. A walk through the beautifully laid out and very spacious castle park should definitely be planned.

Tip: A culinary excursion to the Schubert Museum is rounded off with a stop at the local Schlossbräu.
