The Stadt Haag train station is located around 2.5 kilometers outside the municipality in the west of the Mostviertel region.
Following renovations to the station in 2014 and 2016, the two platforms of the modern station are fully accessible thanks to the two lifts. Thanks to the monitors in the waiting booths and the loudspeaker announcements, passengers are kept well informed about current train services.
More than 120 parking spaces for cars and 15 mopeds in the Park & Ride facility as well as the covered Bike & Ride station for more than 55 bicycles make it easy to transfer to the train.
Route information
The Stadt Haag stop is located along the old route of the Westbahn. Since 2001, the "Neue Westbahn" has been running north through the approximately 6.5-kilometer-long Sieberg Tunnel.
Regional trains to St. Valentin and Amstetten are served from Haag station.
Regional express trains to Vienna are also available at peak times.
Bus connections from the station forecourt provide connections to Steyr.
Starting point
The popular Haag Zoo is less than a 30-minute walk from Haag train station. The natural recreation area for young and old is located right next to the impressive Salaberg Castle with its baroque bathhouse. The path to the zoo is signposted all the way from Haag train station.
