Description

The beautiful, restored reception building at Großweikersdorf station welcomes its guests in a traditional design with the corner ashlars so typical of Austrian stations and plenty of comfort. Thus, a bright waiting room has been set up inside the station building, which also houses a ticket vending machine and provides access to sanitary facilities. At the central platform, seating allows for a comfortable wait.

More than 90 parking spaces for cars and mopeds, as well as nearly 80 parking spaces for bicycles, are offered to transfer passengers and boarders directly on site.

The enchanting area around the market town of Großweikersdorf invites you to explore along numerous hiking trails. For example, on the route of the Großweikersdorf circular hiking trail, which starts at the local Maurer country inn and is also well suited for families and children thanks to the only slight incline. In about 2 hours, the route leads through woods and meadows over the Kreuzberg - with a fantastic view all the way to the Wachau - and past earth cellars back to the starting point.
