Practical location
The training center of the Austrian Federal Railways is located directly at Hart-Wörth station. The building was originally set up as an armory. In 1934, an important room was created there for the training and further education of train dispatchers and technicians. In the now extensively modernized training center with its many practical teaching aids, ÖBB employees are prepared for their work and equipped for new challenges.
History of the line
The line was originally opened in 1877 under the name "k. k. Niederösterreichische Südwestbahn". The connection of the communities in the south of Lower Austria to the railroad line was seen as a significant upgrade and stood for economic growth.
