Station Kreisbach

Kreisbach station is located south of the city center of St. Pölten, on the route of the Traisentalbahn and the former Leobersdorferbahn. Trains to St. Pölten main station as well as to Hainfeld and Schrambach are served here. The single-track, modern station near the town center offers parking for around 40 bicycles as well as a Park & Ride facility with space for 13 vehicles.

Excursion tip

Kreisbach train station is an excellent starting point for a hike to the Ochsenburger hut. At an altitude of 294 m, this popular excursion destination is located on the Rudolfshöhe and can be reached in just over an hour along a moderate incline. The trail leads along beautiful forest paths through charming mixed forests. The hut is open all year round, but is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Kreisbach Castle

The impressive Kreisbach Castle is just a 20-minute walk from the train station. The lovingly revitalized castle offers a unique backdrop for weddings, parties and celebrations or simply for a very special breakfast. The incomparable ambience is only surpassed by the friendly staff.
