Station Neu Nagelberg

Built in 1900, the reception building at Neu Nagelberg station welcomes its guests in traditional style. The tranquil route of the Waldviertel Railway is just a 5-minute walk from the Czech border crossing point. Tickets for trips along the Waldviertel Railway can be purchased online or directly on the trains.

• The Neu Nagelberg stop is located on the northern branch of the Waldviertel narrow-gauge railroad.
• The nostalgic trains of the Waldviertelbahn to Gmünd and Litschau are served here.
• There is a bus stop directly at the station, which is served by connecting buses to Litschau and Gmünd.

Glass art in the Waldviertel

The region around Brand Nagelberg, where the village of Neu Nagelberg is located, is considered the glass art center of the Lower Austrian Waldviertel.

Just a 10-minute walk from Neu Nagelberg train station takes you to the Waldglashütte, a handmade glassworks that is now in its 6th generation and where you can look over the shoulders of the glassmakers. After you have familiarized yourself with the craft thanks to the friendly staff at the factory, it is also worth making a detour to the local glass art museum and store to remember this extraordinary experience with a souvenir.
