Glass art in the Waldviertel

The region around Brand Nagelberg, in which the village of Neu Nagelberg is also located, is considered the glass art center of the Lower Austrian Waldviertel.

It is only a 10-minute walk from the Neu Nagelberg train station to the Waldglashuette, a handicraft business that is already in its 6th generation and where you can look over the shoulders of the glassmakers. After you have had a chance to familiarise yourself with the craft thanks to the friendly staff at the factory, it is also worth making a detour to the resident glass art museum with its shop in order to remember this extraordinary experience with a souvenir.

Tip: In the company there is also the possibility after instruction to produce a workpiece and take it home.
