The history
The original Leobersdorf line was only of secondary importance to passenger traffic. Rather, the freight traffic on the line was intended to promote the local companies and thus the economic development of the region. Even though the line has ended for passenger traffic in Hainfeld since 2001, you can still enjoy many a train ride in the foothills of the Lower Austrian Alps.
