In the Melk district of Lower Austria's Mostviertel region, Säusenstein station is located in the town of the same name, close to the city centre. The on-site ticket vending machine allows ticket purchases around the clock.

The Säusenstein stop is on the Westbahn line and is located right next to the Danube.

Säusenstein Abbey
In the immediate vicinity of the station is the history-rich Säusenstein Abbey. The impressive building houses a private school and is a frequent backdrop for courses and events. The former monastery can also be visited on request. Not far away, it is also worth visiting the parish of Säusenstein, which is well worth seeing.
