History
A train ride along the Gölsen is a great way to enjoy the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills. Even though passenger transport was not the main focus when the original route of the Leobersdorferbahn was built. Rather, the surrounding companies, which had settled in the area over time, were to benefit from a connection to the efficient railroad line. However, necessary maintenance work on the railroad line was neglected and so in 2001 passenger services were only provided as far as Hainfeld.
