Description

Trasdorf station is located only a 5-minute walk from the centre of the village of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of Tulln. The single-track station offers a modern, glazed waiting bunk, in which a ticket vending machine for purchasing tickets has also been installed. By means of timetable notices and loudspeaker announcements, passengers of the barrier-free railway station are informed about the current train service.

Route information

The Trasdorf stop is located along the route of the Tullnerfeld Railway.

  • Trains of the S40 express line stop here on their way to Kritzendorf and on to Vienna's Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof.
  • Trains to the main station in St. Pölten are also served.
  • About 5 minutes walk away, the bus stop at the Dorfplatz offers connections to Krems an der Donau.

Recreation & Culinary delights

After a quarter of an hour walk from the train station you can reach the bathing lake Trasdorf, which offers relaxation and balance to those seeking recreation during the summer months. Just as relaxing is a visit to one of the numerous wine taverns such as the Simetsberger wine estate in Steingraben, the cellar in the regionally connected Altmann wine estate and the Niederhametner family's wine tavern, where the farm shop leaves no culinary wish unfulfilled.
