Waidhofen/Ybbs Schillerpark train station

Waidhofen/Ybbs Schillerpark station is located right next to the eponymous Schillerpark in Lower Austria's Mostviertel region. The quaint, covered waiting area offers comfortable seating and a direct view of the adjacent recreation park.

Route information

• A section of the narrow-gauge railroad, which was formerly operated as the Ybbstalbahn, is used by the Waidhofen/Ybbs Citybahn over a length of 3.1 kilometers. The colorful trains of the Citybahn serve six stops that connect Waidhofen an der Ybbs train station with the town center.
• The Waidhofen/Ybbs Citybahn trains to Waidhofen an der Ybbs and Pestalozzistraße stop here every half hour on weekdays and every hour on Sundays and public holidays.
• Tickets for the Waidhofen/Ybbs Citybahn can be purchased on the Internet, directly on the trains and also from all ÖBB ticket machines.

The Buchenberg Adventure Park is less than a five-minute walk away. Native wild animals, relaxing forests and informative display boards make it easy to forget the time. The domestic animal area is a particular highlight for families with children, where you can pet ponies, sheep, donkeys and goats as well as visit the trampoline and go-kart track.
