Weinbau - Buschenschank Josef Schiller

The Josef Schiller winery and Buschenschank (typical tavern) is a family business located in the southern Weinviertel, just outside Vienna, in the largest wine-growing region of the Korneuburg district. The tradition of viticulture in this family goes back a long way, with a foundation laid more than 50 years ago. Today, the business is run by the third generation with state-of-the-art technology and know-how. The vineyards are mainly planted with varieties such as Grüne Veltliner, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay and Zweigelt. Grüne Veltliner is the main variety and is allowed to bear the designation 'Weinviertel DAC' every year after fermentation. This title underlines the unique character of the Grüne Veltliner in the Weinviertel with its popular 'Pfefferl'.
