The renowned Berger winery is located in Röschitz, the Veltliner stronghold. Teamwork is a top priority here and the climatic and geological conditions of the Weinviertel are valued as the basis for high-quality viticulture. The unique location at the foot of the Manhartsberg enables a strong night-time cooling in late summer, which meets a warm to hot Weinviertel climate. This constellation creates the best conditions for a top-class wine region. Terroir-influenced wines are produced on 11 hectares of vineyards, spread across different sites and soil types. Grüne Veltliner is the flagship of the winery and is offered in seven varieties. The aim is to produce varietal Veltliners that can develop their own character in the individual vineyards. The range is rounded off by Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc and Blauer Zweigelt. Berger wines are regularly among the best in awards, including the Schlossquadrat Trophy 2015 and the Salon Österreich Wein six times. These successes reflect the high standard of the range and underline the quality of the Grüne Veltliner.
