Franz and Florian Holzer's winery is a family business that has been run with dedication and passion for five generations since 1859. Sustainability and environmental awareness are at the heart of the cultivation of the farmland and vineyards. Each grape is hand-picked with the utmost care and processed in the winery's own wine cellar. In order to offer the wines optimal conditions already on the vine, great importance is attached to biodiversity, supported by the use of effective microorganisms. Particular emphasis is placed on maintaining a variety of native field and meadow plants in the vineyards. This creates a naturally cultivated habitat for a variety of different insects, which is of great importance for the ecosystem, especially in times of the current climate crisis.
