Description

The Weinbau Pröstler winery, which has existed in Haugsdorf in the Weinviertel since 1864, looks back on an impressive history spanning five generations. In 2017, siblings Herbert and Judith brought a breath of fresh air to the business when they took over the winery from their grandparents. They cultivate an area of five hectares with a great deal of commitment, expertise and pleasure. The Weinviertel red wine island of Haugsdorf is known for its fertile loess soils, which produce exceptional red wines. But white wine lovers will not be disappointed in this region either. The clay-gravel and primary rock terroir soils in Haugsdorf are ideal for fruity and enticing white wines. These wines, just like the red wines, are classically matured in steel tanks. A visit to the Pröstler winery is therefore an excellent opportunity to discover the diversity and quality of wines from the Weinviertel.
