For winemaker Thomas "Tom" Dockner, the unique limestone geology of the Traisental is the program. The magic word is conglomerate. This limestone reflects the minerality in Dockner's wines. "In order to shine with optimal maturity, we give the wines enough time to develop themselves, they are neither opulent nor reductive and thus have the chance to show their unmistakable site character," says Tom Dockner. The Dockners have continuously built up a modern business that enjoys a good reputation far beyond the region and whose wines can be found on many wine lists in the country. The focus is on the Grüne Veltliners and Rieslings with their different site characters, but it is also worth tasting the wines outside the mainstream, especially the Traminer and Pinot Noir.
