Train station

Description

Located in the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria is the Weinburg train station. The station is located on the route of the Mariazellerbahn and houses a nostalgically designed waiting shelter, which offers seating as well as protection from wind and weather. More than 15 parking spaces for cars and mopeds and six parking spaces for bicycles ensure comfortable transfer to the trains of the famous narrow-gauge railway.

Route information

  • Trains along the Mariazellerbahn route run on request to St. Pölten, as well as to Laubenbachmühle station and on to Mariazell.

Pielach Valley Cycle Route

The station lies along the route of the Pielach Valley Cycle Path, which is probably the most impressive way to explore this enchanting region with its extensive natural landscapes and numerous cider taverns. The family-friendly cycle path takes its visitors from Melk to Dobersnigg along the Pielach River through the picturesque Mostviertel region.

Austria's largest climbing centre

Sports enthusiasts and visitors with a head for heights will get their money's worth at Austria's largest climbing centre, just a 15-minute walk from Weinburg station. The 17-metre high climbing wall is used for therapy and adventure climbing as well as for competitions, and there is also a bouldering area. In the adventure area of the unique climbing centre you will find a via ferrata and water elements.
