Description

The Baier winery, which can trace its roots back to 1794, is a family business that has been active in viticulture for eight generations. With 15 hectares of vineyards, it is able to implement a self-imposed quality philosophy: the production of wines that follow a clear style - unadulterated, lively and authentic to the region. Every sip of Baier wine should be a vinophile homage to the Weinviertel. Respect for tradition, openness to modernity, uncompromising pursuit of quality and vision are the guiding principles that are reflected in the family winery. The winery is located in Niederrußbach, a geographical crossroads between Wagram and Weinviertel. The soils consist mainly of loess with varying proportions of sand and stone, always with a high lime content. This exciting combination is ideal for Grüner Veltliner. Subtle differences which, in combination with the prevailing microclimate, give the wines an unmistakable character.
