Prandtauerhof - Weingut Holzapfel

Farm shops / producer, Winery

Description

If you want to treat yourself to a little more indulgence, in addition to our award-winning wines and fruit brandies, you can also take home all kinds of home-made delicacies from our estate kitchen, such as apricot jam, sweet and sour pickled delicacies, home-smoked ham, home-baked bread, Grammelschmalz and pâtés.
In addition to our wines and fruit brandies, culinary gifts in attractive packaging await you in our presentation and sales room.

A Wachau work of art in terms of architectural history and culinary delights! The estate of Barbara and Karl Holzapfel, built 700 years ago as a reading farm and later baroqueized by the builder of Melk Abbey, Jakob Prandtauer, is home to one of the best wineries in the Wachau, a highly awarded distillery for fine distillates and a top-class restaurant. Particularly charming: the romantic inner courtyard with its arcades and the estate's own chapel for weddings and christenings.

Creative, down-to-earth local specialties and classics made primarily from regional ingredients are served in a rustic atmosphere.
