Weingut Leo Alzinger
WineryDescription
Leo Alzinger is one of the absolute elite of Wachau winegrowers, as numerous national and international awards impressively underline. His rise began in 1983, when the current top winemaker opened a Buschenschank (typical tavern) (no longer in existence today) and processed some of the harvest himself. Since then, he has invested an enormous amount of dedication and commitment in the continuous improvement of quality, including the renovation of the wine cellar.
"Making wine is a challenge. Fortunately, we have unique vineyards at our disposal." - In line with this motto, the top-quality products that are produced together with his son today - above all Riesling and Grüne Veltliner - impress with their high minerality, pleasant fruity charm and unmistakable elegance. Their wines also cause a sensation among experts every year. The wines from the terraced vineyards are a particularly exquisite treat.
