Weingut Ludwig Neumayer
WineryThis business is excellent…
Description
Decades ago, Ludwig Neumayer stood like a lone quality lighthouse on the banks of the Traisen, revered by insiders for his wines, while he first had to explain to many others that there was no canned meat in Inzersdorf ob der Traisen, but there were excellent wines. Neumayer has long since become one of the most established winegrowers in the country, on a par with his "neighbors" from the famous Wachau, Krems or Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German). He knows how to wring profound, complex and mineral wines from the barren slopes with sometimes extremely chalky soils, which not only inspire in their youth, but also increase in tension over years of ageing and maturation and challenge the palate to true adventures. Neumayer is not a marketing man who beats the bush - just like his wines, it is important to hear the subtle nuances. But when it comes to talking shop with the doyen of the Traisental winegrowing community, you should take some time for it...
