Colorful plates and cups
A colorful milestone in Lower Austrian history is just a 10-minute walk away. The Wilhelmsburg Tableware Museum gives visitors an insight into the history of the famous lily porcelain. In addition to the popular permanent exhibition, there are always varied special exhibitions by young designers or on current topics. Furthermore, a well-equipped ceramics studio has been set up within the historic walls, where courses are offered on a regular basis.
History of the company
Under the company name "k. k. private niederösterreichische Südwestbahn", the "Leobersdorf-St. Pölten Eisenbahngesellschaft" bought the railroad line. However, the construction of the line was so financially costly that the construction and operation had to be taken over by the state. The line was opened in 1893.
