Winzerhof Stift

Description
A stately and beautiful courtyard in Röschitz is the home and workplace of the famous Stift winegrowing family. A wine tasting in the courtyard is a pleasant experience thanks to the family's ambience and hospitality. The jazz evenings that take place at the winery every year are very popular. A modern new cellar building was added to the winery in 2020, making work much easier.
In viticulture, Franz Stift skillfully uses the special climatic and geological conditions around Röschitz to produce wines with a distinctive character. Each vineyard is treated as a separate individual and the grapes are brought to maturity with care and attention. In harmony with nature and through sensitive work in the cellar, wines rich in finesse, expressive and typical of the variety are produced.
In keeping with the terroir, white wine varieties dominate the family-owned vineyards on the slopes of the Manhartsberg, where islands of primary rock between loess slopes provide piquancy, fruity richness and fine minerality in the wines. The wines from this winery have always been characterized by their distinctive transparency, freshness and elegance.
The leading variety is, of course, Grüne Veltliner, which is available here in a number of varieties.
Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller and Chardonnay are also cultivated, as well as red wine varieties, including a Cabernet Sauvignon in pink red, which is considered a classic of the house. The fruity, fresh frizzante wines "Franzis Frizzi" round off the range wonderfully.
