If you want to experience the Wachau from an entirely new perspective, the Donau-Ride is the perfect experience. First, you enjoy a 90-minute trip in a traditional wooden barge through the impressive Danube landscape. On board, you can expect an aperitif, a small starter in the form of regional finger food and a guided tasting experience of three Wachau wines – each from the vineyards you glide past during the trip. Afterwards, a short walk leads you to a selected “Best of Wachau” restaurant, where a fine main course and a final dessert – each with matching drinks – are served. An enjoyable combination of nature, tradition and regional cuisine.
