At the foot of an idyllic vineyard below the famous Retz windmill.

Once the founding point of the town as a castle, the 700-year-old estate with its two idyllic courtyards is still an impressive sight today. But time has by no means stood still here. The Althof offers extremely comfortable accommodation and the VinoSPA wellness area on five levels - with an infinity pool on the roof and fabulous views of the vineyards.

The topic of wine is omnipresent in the area around Retz, including at the Althof: in addition to the winegrowers' rooms - including a well-stocked wine climate cabinet - and the VinoSPA, there is also an in-house regional vinotheque with 350 wines from 92 winegrowers to taste and take home.
