The municipality of Bürg-Vöstenhof lies to the north of the Schwarzatal valley. The densely wooded village extends at an altitude of 462 to 1,568 meters above sea level. There is plenty for holidaymakers and those seeking relaxation to discover in this tranquil idyll. Beautiful hiking trails run through the entire municipal area.
One of the most popular Excursion destinations is the Four Brothers Tree: a black pine tree that grew as a seedling in 980 and developed four equally strong trunks due to game browsing. In 1930, it was placed under nature protection, which was officially revoked in 2010. Nevertheless, this special tree is still considered a natural attraction - even though it has now lost two of its trunks due to a lightning strike.
