Eggendorf

Although Eggendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1316, the area was settled long before that - by Celts, Germanic tribes and Avars.

Today, Eggendorf in the district of Wiener Neustadt-Land offers its residents and visitors beautiful restaurants and accommodation as well as two state-of-the-art event centers. Vacations, vacations and day trips can be made particularly entertaining here - in the midst of the refreshing landscape of the Vienna Alps.

Sightseeing in Eggendorf

The idyllic landscape of Eggendorf is characterized by several wayside shrines. The Eggendorf parish church of St. Peter and St. Paul is a historical eye-catcher: the sacred building is located in the center of Untereggendorf - with a Romanesque choir tower church and Baroque arched windows as well as valuable statues of saints and angels from various centuries.

The listed Wiener Neustädter Canal, which went into operation at the beginning of the 19th century, is also well worth seeing. The brick arch bridge dates from the end of the 18th century.
