Großharras
Großharras is a picture-perfect community for a short break or family excursion into the countryside: picturesque houses and an idyllic wine cellar lane stretch out around the central church, while the gentle Weinviertel hills rise up in the background. The market town in the district of Mistelbach combines a total of three villages: Diepolz, Großharras and Zwingendorf.
Incidentally, none other than Johanna-Mikl-Leitner, Governor of Lower Austria, is an honorary citizen of Großharras - she grew up here and also attended the local elementary school.
Großharras: from history to pleasure
A Lombard grave from the first half of the 6th century bears witness to the early settlement of the area - long before it was first mentioned in a document in 1156. Over the centuries, Großharras has experienced several battles, epidemics and fires.

- Zwingendorf has two famous salt sites. The two nature reserves "Glaubersalzsteppe" and "Saliterweide" in Zwingendorf fascinate with their rare to unique plants and small animals on salt soils.
- The village museum in the old grist mill provides information about the Zwingendorf salt sites in a nature conservation showroom. The adjoining "Joslowitzer Heimatstube" documents the exciting history of the neighboring municipality of Joslowitz (Jaroslavice).
