Großmugl
The market town of Großmugl has around 1,900 inhabitants and consists of the 10 cadastral municipalities of Füllersdorf, Geitzendorf, Glaswein, Großmugl, Herzogbirbaum, Nursch, Ottendorf, Ringendorf, Roseldorf and Steinabrunn. The municipality is located approx. 40 km and about 30 minutes' drive north of the federal capital Vienna in the middle of the hilly landscape of the Weinviertel, close to the towns of Stockerau and Hollabrunn.
All important infrastructural facilities for families and quality of life are available in the municipality.
In 2011, a new 3-group kindergarten with afternoon and vacation care was put into operation. An elementary school with afternoon care and a music school are also located in Großmugl. A general practitioner, a grocery store, a supermarket, restaurants, a petrol station, a bank and a post office round off the amenities. In the leisure sector, the gymnastics and sports union and the healthy community offer numerous activities. Sports facilities in the municipality include a sports field, training grounds, beach volleyball court, tennis courts, gymnasium, children's playgrounds as well as beautiful family cycling and hiking trails. The KG Nursch is home to a motocross club track.
