Lengenfeld

"Ausg'steckt ist" - in Lengenfeld all year round! The market town in the Krems-Land district is an idyllic wine-growing area in Kamp Valley ("Kamptal-Donauland"). Convivial wine taverns entice you to celebrate in cheerful company. Cozy cellars invite you to linger.

Lengenfeld: wine festivals & long-distance hiking in the Waldviertel

Community life is characterized by wine and club festivals, numerous sports opportunities as well as hikes and bike tours. Lengenfeld Golf Club offers a golf course with a feel-good atmosphere in the midst of the beautiful Waldviertel countryside - with unforgettable panoramic views. There is also a great tennis court in the family-friendly village.

Historical & new things in Lengenfeld

There are historic buildings throughout the village that are listed as historical monuments. The Biri Gate, for example, a pointed arch gate from the 15th century, blends seamlessly into its modern surroundings. The magnificent parish church with its Romanesque and Gothic elements looks fabulously beautiful. The castle, on the other hand, is a mighty, two-storey moated castle complex, the first part of which was built in the early 16th century.

"CAMPUS Lengenfeld" was opened in November 2019. An extension and conversion of the kindergarten and elementary school enables the children of the market town to be taught in a harmonious environment. Old and new form an architectural symbiosis. The nomination for the "Golden Trowel 2020" is the best proof of this.
