Ravelsbach

The market town of Ravelsbach in the district of Hollabrunn is nestled in the Schmidatal valley - and is a member of the landscape park of the same name. It comprises the villages of Baierdorf, Gaindorf, Minichhofen, Oberravelsbach, Parisdorf, Pfaffstetten and Ravelsbach.

Numerous enchanting wine cellar lanes and traditional wineries add to the charm of this family-friendly vacation and excursion community in the Weinviertel region. Many of the extensive cycling and hiking trails run through the romantic wine cellar lanes. The three-hour Riesling Wine Cycle Route stage also includes Ravelsbach.

A stop at one of the excellent wine taverns and Buschenschank (typical tavern) is a must: regional specialties and quality wines are served. Comfortable overnight accommodation can also be booked in many places.

Ravelsbach: culture & sights in the Schmidatal valley

The beautiful Ravelsbach parish church with its baroque garden and parish center is particularly worth seeing. The church was built by Jakob Prandtauer - modeled on the Melk collegiate church. Other sights can be explored on the Ravelsbach cultural trail.
