Würflach

Welcome to Würflach: hills covered in dense forests herald the end of the Steinfeldebene - and lead over to the foothills of the Alps in Lower Austria. From the Würflacher WellnessWelt, situated on the edge of the forest, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding region. The Würflach fortified church, which looks down on the village from a small hill, is also well worth a visit. Family-friendly businesses and accommodation welcome guests throughout the village.

Johannesbachklamm gorge: the swirling Ache river

The name of the village comes from "Wirbilach", which means "swirling stream". This refers to the Johannesbachklamm gorge. The romantic gorge is a true paradise for hikers - with six different hiking routes. In addition, the annual"Advent in the Johannesbachklamm" attracts visitors: The unique Christmas market enchants with particularly beautiful fire and lighting effects, a huge Christmas tree and selected arts and crafts.

Great animal excursion tip: camel farm in Würflach

Tame camels are waiting at the Pongratz family farm. They can be met and stroked. Camel rides and even hikes with the friendly animals are also possible.
