History and enjoyment go hand-in-hand in the Carnuntum-Marchfeld region. Roman times are brought to life in the reconstructed Roman quarter of Carnuntum, the only one of its kind in the world. A “Landsknecht” or “mercenary infantryman” guides you through medieval Hainburg and provides exciting insights into past centuries. The crowning finale is the “Carnuntine Wine Experience” – an encounter with the winegrowers of today, who work with passion and tradition. An experience that combines culture, history and culinary delights to create an unforgettable stay.
