This cross-country ski trail branches off from the village meadow to the south, passes two ponds and is mostly on the sunny side. Only the ascent between km 6-8 is in the forest.
 

Description

In summer, the Schlesingerteich with forest spring water quality offers opportunities for fishing and swimming. In winter, Bärnkopf has made a name for itself as a cross-country skiing center. It is also an ideal starting point for hiking, MTB routes, and excursions to interesting cultural monuments of the Waldviertel and is worth a visit.
Woodcutter Museum: The Woodcutter Museum displays on information boards the development from the settlement of the area to today's forestry. Old saws, axes, and other tools help provide a lively insight. Various experience spots let you discover wood, forest, and lifestyle.

Directions

A1 - West motorway; exit Ybbs/Donau - B36 towards Zwettl to Laimbach - Gutenbrunn - Bärnkopf

Safety information

• Follow the prescribed direction of travel
• Ski on the right, overtake on the left
• When stopping or falling, clear the track immediately
• On trail sections with oncoming traffic, the climber must give way
• Pedestrians and dogs are not allowed on the trail (forestry law, danger of accidents, destruction of the track)
• Please keep the forest clean. Carry everything you brought into the forest back out with you
• Do not leave the marked trails
• In strong wind and with ice-laden trees, staying in the forest is dangerous and at your own risk
