Description
Charming townhouses along the main street and the beautiful town hall square with the castle and the "cathedral of the Erlauf valley" testify to the wealth in the Renaissance, Baroque, and Biedermeier periods. Along the old town circuit, you will get to know not only historic Scheibbs but also today's lifestyle: Scheibbs is a district capital with a very lively cultural scene, health and education center. A popular meeting point – yet pleasantly small, quiet and very personal. You experience the special flair of the town best close to the water: in the Erlauf harbor, redesigned in 2015, with the city pier as a resting place, boat dock, and sometimes also a cultural venue.
