Gasthaus Myrastubn

Muggendorf is a dreamy place: time seems to stand still here in the hiking and water world of Myrafälle. But the culinary compass needle of pleasure-seekers points all the more clearly to the down-to-earth Austrian cuisine, the palpable hospitality and the breathtaking views of the Gasthaus Myrastubn. Together with their team, David and Katrin Klauser have turned this historic inn into a culinary highlight. "Regional - seasonal - traditional" is David Klauser's credo. This extends from the menu to the daily specials and the special culinary weekends. The freshly caught trout, served with garlic butter and parsley potatoes, is a kitchen classic, as is the roast onion with roast potatoes. The Myrastubn is also famous for its baked or gratinated pancakes. The choice between smoked ham and cheese or sheep's cheese and spinach filling is not an easy one. Fish, (game) meat and natural juices are supplied by partner companies from the surrounding area. The kitchen team led by Heinz Resnicek presents them seasonally in the best possible way. Whatever the season, pastries such as Buchteln with vanilla sauce, curd cheese strudel and apple strudel are sure to set hearts racing.

Inn with history and soul

Numerous legends surround the thundering Myra Falls. And the walls of the Myrastubn also have a history. The inn, situated at the foot of the Myrafälle Hiking & Water World with views of the Hirschwände and Hausstein, was once a hydroelectric power station. In the 1980s, the "Mirawerk" became an inn - run by the Klauser family since 2007 and by David Klauser since 2021. It is furnished in a country house style and invites you to feel at home with lots of wood and a spacious gallery. The same applies to the guest garden. Here guests can enjoy a fantastic endless view of the greenery.
