Gasthaus zu den Linden
Tavern / innThis business is excellent…
Description
The "Gasthaus zu den Linden" in Gaaden is now run by the fifth generation. Katharina Bruckberger's country inn is therefore steeped in tradition and history. In the middle of the Vienna Woods, guests can enjoy a restaurant from the turn of the century. High-quality Viennese cuisine is served in a rustic atmosphere. The boiled beef with potato pancakes, apple horseradish and seasonal vegetable garnish has established itself on the menu. This also applies to the oven-fresh roast pork from the Strohschwein from the Tullnerfeld, which is freshly prepared every Sunday. Speaking of fresh: potatoes, onions and cabbage are grown by the Ehn family in Perzendorf. Fish comes from the Gut Dornau farm in Leobersdorf and game straight from the Vienna Woods.
Majestic lime trees
You've probably noticed. Regionality, seasonality and high quality standards characterize the traditional dishes of the Gasthaus zu den Linden. Added to this is a strong pinch of hospitality. The Bruckberger family is particularly proud of its homemade quail egg liqueur. Excellent wines round off the dishes. The home-made nut schnapps, jams and pickles can be purchased from the farm. The guest garden with its two majestic lime trees is magnificent. The shade extends deep into the last corner of the garden. The Vienna Woods also beckon to be explored. In the Sparbach Nature Park, guests can learn more about the local wild boar.
