Gasthof Haag
Tavern / innThis business is excellent…
Description
Angus beef is one of the best types of beef in the world and is often presented in a tempting way in the country's inns. This is also the case at Gasthof Haag. Unlike the competition, however, the two landlords Markus and Thomas Haag breed the Angus cattle themselves. Guests can therefore be sure that only the highest quality meat is used in the kitchen. The tavern in Haitzendorf in the district of Krems has been preparing traditional tavern dishes since 1990. The Haag family is particularly proud of its home-made grammel dumplings. These are accompanied by a warm coleslaw and a hearty sauce. The boiled beef with crispy rösti, apple horseradish and chive sauce is tender and full of flavor. Game specialties are in seasonal demand - the meat comes directly from local hunters.
Petting zoo in the guest garden
The deep connection with the Waldviertel pays off for Gasthof Haag. Vegetables, fruit and eggs come from their own garden. Fish and milk from regional producers. The food at the inn is freshly cooked, prepared to a high standard and lovingly served. Guests in the Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German) appreciate this. Whether in the charming parlor, banquet hall or in the cozy guest garden - a tasteful stay awaits locals and day-trippers in the region. And it's not just the fun that's on offer: a bowling alley in the hotel will awaken guests' ambitions. The small petting zoo in the guest garden is popular with families with children. An extensive range of overnight accommodation is available in the inn.
